| The following guidelines
are used within the Dojo as part of its ‘traditional’ approach and to
maximise the training experience of all members. 1 . As a sign of respect and courtesy you should bow · When entering and leaving the dojo · At the beginning at end of each lesson to other students · Before and after a free-sparring match to sparring partner 2 . Do not criticise fellow students 3 . Excessive loud talk or laughter is not permitted during class 4 . Arrive for class early 5 . Do not use profanity in the dojo 6 . For the safety of other students, keep fingernails and toenails short. 7 . No jewellery, watches etc are to be worn while training 8 . Do not practice while intoxicated 9 . No smoking in the dojo 10. Introduce yourself to new students 11. Foster loyalty and friendship among fellow students 12. Refrain from misusing your Karate knowledge 13. Do not participate in free sparring during class without permission of the instructor 14. Try to promote the true spirit of Karate-Do by developing your health, skill and character. In all that you do, seek to show respect, tolerance and humility in your dealings with others. |
